(Bouncing Around) is an interdisciplinary project supported by University College London and Space Strategy (Tongji University, China).

It’s about something many of us are experiencing right now: moving between cities and countries, shifting identities, like a ball constantly bouncing around. But somewhere in that movement, we start to find our own rhythm, or at least learn how to live with it.

It focuses on migrants in London living on temporary visas, especially within the Chinese community. The project takes shape as a 6-episode podcast, alongside a series of workshops, talks, and a small market happening across May and June in London. It is a “moving living room” open to anyone who wants to join the conversation.

WELCOME ABOARD
An exhibition extension of the project
This phrase is both an invitation and a boundary. The river is a passage. The boat is a temporary home. Visitors are invited to board, move, and enter a space between departure and arrival.Migration often begins with boarding. Between leaving one place and reaching another, everything remains in movement. We do not offer answers. We offer a process.Welcome Aboard turns private experiences into public conversations, and invites people to reconnect through shared uncertainty.
